Interrupt Function:

Two lines of each I/O port C, plus ports A0 and B0, are connected to the interrupt circuitry. The “Interrupt Control Register” of the PCI-1753/1753E controls how the combination of these signals generates an interrupt. Six interrupt request signals can be generated at the same time, and then the software can service these six request signals by IRQ. The multiple interrupt sources provide the card with more capability and flexibility.

DI change status Interrupt

The PCI-1753/1753E also provides the change of state interrupt function for port B0. It monitors the status of the enabled channels of port B0. When one of the enabled channels changes its state, the PCI-1753 delivers an interrupt signal to the system to handle this event.

DI pattern match Interrupt

The PCI-1753/1753E provides the pattern match interrupt function for port A0. It monitors the status of the enabled input channels. This event is generated while the predefined pattern value on Fast DI is present. When the actual state values match the pre-set state values, the PCI-1753/1753E will deliver an interrupt signal to the system.
